Meeting Notes

  • 14:00 start (instead of 9:00)
  • Meeting Notes: Chris
  • great news: Pavlo works on CSV files for us
  • Maiia shows some tools
    • Shows us her new tools today, how to find performance issues in react.
    • Tools she showed us: React Profiler, React Developer Tools (Browser Addons).
    • With "Highlight updates when components render" it helps finding render performance issues.
    • Showed us different techniques how to find performance issues on real-world problems.
    • Outcome: We can leave the profiler component in the code base, if build in production, it will be disabled.
  • Chris:
    • testing strategy -> adds a testing proposal for e2e tests and smoke tests
    • testing remember viewing state
  • Moritz:
    • Guidelines, map creation -> Guidelines for mobile development were updated based on the feedback.
  • Guidelines are for things that need to be remembered again and again (in every review), everything PermaplanT-specific potentially wrong in a new implementation should be written into the guidelines.
  • hull.js update, sometimes filling hulls is slow for Markus, Maiia didnt notice those.
    • Hull.js has issues filling form if Konkavität is not set high enough.
    • Most ugly bugs are fixed by Maiia.
    • Markus will do more tests to find problematic areas with the paint brushes. Pinselstärke& Konkavität can not be set to lowest or highest level in chrome, it seems stuck. Is is feasable to fix this issues, otherwise we should just keep it.
  • next week presentation Christoph/Stef
  • break
  • big call for MR cleanup continued:
    • let us get all MRs merged
    • review
  • search for background/related work
  • Tasks for Everyone
  • Development Board
    • Andrei -> Broke down the use case into different tasks and completed some preliminary work for a discussion. Will discuss it with Moritz. Is still looking for a Methodology.
    • Ben
    • Christoph Kraus (Chris) -> is looking for papers for e2e optimization. Will show something next week
    • Christoph Schreiner
    • Johannes
    • Maiia -> did not look for background papers yet.
    • Moritz -> Found some papers but hasn't finished reading them yet. Wants to classify the first batch.
    • Richard -> Wasn't there last weekend. We should write a bit about the papers related to our research question and submit it to the submissions repository.
    • Stefanie -> found 2 papers using the same metric she wants to do, she wants to use them. She also has papers for lazy loading.

It is much better to do a minimal submission then doing non at all.

No Buddy talks last week, talk about papers with other people to help you with your ideas. Speaking only once about these topics per week is too little, so really go for buddy talks.
