Meeting Notes
- 09:00 start
- Meeting Notes: Stef (hopefully last time)
- Hello to Lukas
- Game "What is the most amazing part of PermaplanT for you?":
- Lukas talks about how we worked on PermaplanT in the frontend, his favorite part is the heatmap.
- Filip did infrastructure, his favorite part is the ansible playbook.
- Christoph (Schreiner) favorite part is the collaboration as he usually works alone.
- Chris says his favorite part is the infrastructure.
- Ben likes that people with not a lot of knowledge can have fun with it and learn new things.
- Maiia likes the decisions folder, because those things are not obvious.
- Moritz likes the fact that its open for change, he enjoyed learning Figma and also likes learning about React.
- Markus likes the rememberance for his own plants, where what is.
- 0.5.0 celebration
- 0.6.0 release:
- Ben+Lukas: access control:
- For inviting new people the access control feature thats very important
- Most of the things in the frontend are already done, backend needs some permission work.
- And of course bug fixing
- Now is good time to merge breaking changes!
- Ben+Lukas: access control:
- get MRs merged
- UC collaboration:
- copy&paste: Andrei&Moritz: Andrei already created some issues, but didn't start working on it yet.
- attributes: Moritz&Maiia: Some attributes are still missing, but most of them are there. Shouldn't be too much work.
- collaboration: Ben&Richard
- What use cases interest you?
- Ben likes to do more frontend, like water+fertilization layers, less backend and infrastructure.
- Chris is responsible for quality assurance, so he basically works on all the use cases.
- Lukas talks about his thesis and methodology, he did a quantitative survey analysis.
- Christoph would prefer to do his use cases alone, fine how it is.
- Filip is open to help and support regarding infrastructure.
- Maiia wants to finish the brushing. Open to work on attributes. Wants to focus on performance optimizations for her thesis.
- Moritz wants to focus on mobile usage, could collaborate with Maiia on that, especially in the design phase. Also open to work on copy and paste.
- break
- FLOSS priorities:
- MRs:
- we shouldn't have so many MRs open
- try to have small MRs
- and get MRs done as fast as possible
- Issues:
- make sure issues are clear to you
- use cases
- if most issues done, create new ones based on the use cases
- MRs:
- because of release and other changes, all MRs need to do #1873
- now big call for MR cleanup:
- let us get all MRs merged
- review
- search for background/related work: background papers are either papers where methodologies are defined (like how to do a benchmark) or someone implemented an algorithm and you want to improve on it. These are referenced early in your thesis.
- next weeks, present:
- methods paper: Christoph next week, Stef the week after
- tools: important to know which tools to use when benchmarking for example, Maiia will present some next week
- Next meeting: Monday 14:00 with Maiia, Moritz, Stefanie, Chris
