Meeting Notes
- 09:00 start
- Meeting Notes: Chris(toph) Kraus (Backup: Ben, shortly wrote Meeting notes, then Ben)
- Alfons: Presentation "methodology"
- What is methodology?
- The structured plan for how you answer your research question.
- Your overall approach (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods).
- The logic behind your choices why you picked certain methods, not just what you did.
- The tools and procedures you use to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- A justification of reliability and validity why your approach produces trustworthy results.
- What is not methodology?
- Not just a list of methods (“I made a survey,” “I ran interviews”).
- Not your theoretical background or literature review.
- Not the raw data or results it’s the plan for how you obtain them.
- Not a step-by-step instruction manual for someone else (“First I opened Excel…”).
- Not an afterthought it must align tightly with your research question.
- Alfons' methodology
- Collect data through survey and then analyze it
- Using a quantitative approach
- TUsurvey and R as main tools
- What is methodology?
